Moments

Cutting down the winter
the whetted chill
They walked down the mountain roads.
Wrapped in red robes, and
pure smiles.
And warmth
that they sprinkled as they smiled.
I climbed up
They climbed down.
Some shared glances-
I witnessed.
Some shared glances, my journal knows about.
Some glances, I will recollect
in the times of my trouble.
Some glances that bring warmth
amidst the chilly mountains.

Up-
on the mountain peak.
The monastery awaits
The gong rings
The idol sits with a world full of life
Making sense to everything.
Everything that has caused sadness,
Everything that is yet to come,
Everything that is not present.

Little faces, with little tales
and simplest smiles,
lightens and brightens my simple lunch
and the rest of my life.
