Cer(l)ebration

Waking up at an early hour
I found my last night's despair
Smudged in the morning sky.
Hours later,
The mourning sky dries,
Birds are seen again in illustrative patterns.
Pomegranates hang in solitude together
At a distance
like tears about to drop.

The time in between
Writes the memorized night.
And the Universe stands like a mirror.

In days of blindness
I shall leave the despair to dream
and wake up on a stained bed sheet.
