Winter Monsoon

(image collected from internet)

The winter of my poetry
Resided in magic pills
Or just in the lines of my scribbles.
I often dreamt myself on a snowflake,
Floating;
Motionless in Motion
Like my mind growing legs
and legs metamorphosed into an Ocean.

The Universe painted a glittery sky,
Taking away all my Darkness
And your Stars.

I smudged in you.

I desired to be the last sip of your whiskey,
A slippery entrance
And staying back long till you sleep it off.
I desired to be the cigarettes
You did not smoke.
Again. Every day. Till you did.

On a summery monsoon night
I held back my silences and tears,
wanting to Not fall in Love.
But, kept blankets and woolens
Wanting to fall in Love.

At every dawn
When the water dripping inside the cooler makes a noise,
I build my home on the beach
Knowing the waves would wash it away.

In Building
Re-building
And in between
I fall in love with you every day.
